Hello

I'm really glad you're here. I'd like to share a bit about myself as a person, my beliefs about the world, and my approach to therapy.

About Me

I'm a re-married, queer, cis-woman, mama of four. I'm originally from Michigan and lived in Florida for over ten years. I received my M.Ed./Ed.S degrees from the University of Florida. I miss the sunshine, warmth, and friends but not the current political climate.

I work with folks across the board of beliefs, identities, and experiences. And, I believe that as a therapist, it is inherent to my work (and my own personal values) to care deeply about social justice and liberation rooted in love. I don't think I could truly be an effective therapist if my heart were not centered on these beliefs.

I believe that everyone is doing the best that they can. I believe that all behavior makes sense in context. I believe that our positions and identities deeply shape our experiences, worldview, and patterns. I believe that there are a huge number of things that can happen to us and around us that make it difficult to trust ourselves, others, or the world at-large. These experiences - whether of trauma, complex trauma, or an incessant, nagging feeling of being not enough - can create unhelpful coping patterns and warring internal parts.

Therapy is not just about venting and being heard, I believe it can be an incredibly transformative experience that can create a deep sense of belonging within ourselves. In therapy, we will work towards healing. We will work to integrate past experiences and the whole of who you are. To create freedom through self-trust and a life that feels integrated and aligned with who you truly are.

Connect

Therapy is an intimate and vulnerable experience with another person, which makes it so important to find someone who resonates with you. If you feel like we'd be a good fit, please reach out for a consultation! I so look forward to getting to know you.
